Lannleire will start 2006 under the the guidance of veteran player Stephen Flood who will be assisted by Navan based Paul Clarke who took care of Simonstown minors, maybe this will eventually see the club going in the right direction once again after somewhat of a downfall from the top flight in the county this past few seasons.

It's been revealed that both rugby and soccer has finally got the green light to play internationals at Croke Park in 2007 when the redevelopment of Lansdowne road commences, this will see two rugby internationals in February and atleast three soccer internationals in March, October and November.
